Max Brown 7th District is collaborating with one of Israel’s most well-known chefs. Operating a stunning 15+ restaurants in cities like Tel Aviv, Melbourne, New York and Paris, he has conquered the restaurant-scene city by city for the past 11 years. He decided to come to Vienna. Imagine an all-day restaurant with a huge open kitchen counter, dishes that are suitable to be shared, a big cocktail bar, stimulating music and a menu based on the southern Mediterranean cuisine.
The Head Bartender is responsible for a smooth handling of the whole bar operation as a part of the newly set-up restaurant, developing bar knowledge trainings, SOP’s and gaining insight in possibilities to improve team dynamics and efficiency of the bar team.
Furthermore, he/she will work closely with the restaurant manager to develop offerings and the bar setup.
He or she will be responsible for the continuous development of the skilled bartenders and to ensure that a team spirit within the bar team is created. The head bartender leads by example and will be the face of our amazing bar.
The head bartender builds and maintains an effective team, the direction, coordination and evaluation of the bar team and reports directly to the restaurant manager.
They will keep track of the work standards, productivity, best practices, on-the-job trainings and guest satisfaction. Other responsibilities are planning, assigning and directing work, addressing complaints and resolving problems. The major focus should be working the floor/bar, the team and the product. Satisfying the two stakeholders most important to us; our guests and our own team members! Happy employees are happy guests!
The ideal candidate:
The ideal candidate has 3+ years of relevant experience in standalone cocktail bars, preferably in a similar position before. His/her English and German are excellent and they don’t mind working in a multi-lingual work environment.
